Sowing Instructions

Sow dahlia seeds indoors from February to April in trays or pots. Cover lightly with fine compost and keep warm and moist until germination. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, pot them on individually. Plant outdoors after the risk of frost has passed, spacing plants well to allow good airflow and strong growth. Dahlias prefer a sunny position and fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly during dry weather and remove faded flowers to encourage more blooms.
