Growing Information
Sow seeds indoors from February to April in trays or pots. Press the seeds lightly onto the surface of moist compost and cover very lightly, as they need some light to germinate. Keep warm and moist until seedlings appear.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and plant outdoors after the risk of frost has passed. Balloon Flowers prefer a sunny or lightly shaded position with well-drained soil. Once established, they are hardy and easy to care for.
Why You’ll Love It
Balloon Flower Blue brings a lovely splash of colour to summer borders. The unusual balloon-shaped buds make it eye-catching before the flowers even open, while the blue star-shaped blooms are beautiful in garden displays and cut flower arrangements.
