Sowing Instructions

When to Sow.
Sow indoors from March to June, or sow directly outdoors from March to August.
Sow seeds in rows 1–2 cm deep in fertile, well-drained soil. Avoid sowing too densely and thin seedlings to approximately 20 cm apart once established. Water well after sowing and keep the soil lightly moist during germination.

Grow in a sunny or lightly shaded position for the best results. Harvest young leaves regularly for the best flavour and pick flowers as they open for fresh garnishes. Borage self-seeds readily, often returning year after year if allowed to set seed.
