Sowing Instructions

Easy to grow and wonderfully versatile, this variety can be grown as an annual or biennial. Sow early in the year for flowering the same season, or sow in summer for strong young plants that will flower the following spring.
When to Sow.
For annual flowering, sow indoors from February to March and transplant outdoors in April or May.
For biennial flowering, sow outdoors in a seedbed from mid-July to mid-August and transplant to their final position in autumn for spectacular spring displays the following year.
Sow seeds thinly in a seed tray or prepared seedbed, covering lightly with fine compost. Keep the soil evenly moist during germination. Transplant seedlings once they are large enough to handle, allowing enough space for healthy growth.
