Sowing Instructions

When to Sow.
For flowering in the same year, sow indoors from February to March and transplant outdoors during April or May.
For beautiful spring blooms the following year, sow outdoors from June to August in a seedbed and transplant to their final position in autumn.
Sow seeds thinly in trays or modules filled with fine seed compost and cover lightly with compost or vermiculite. Keep the compost evenly moist and place in a bright, cool position. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots before hardening off and planting outdoors.
