Growing Information

Sow under cover: March
Sowing depth: 1–2 cm

Sow seeds under cover in March in good quality, moist seed compost. Keep warm and do not allow the compost to dry out. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots.

Plant out in May when the weather is warm and the plants have been hardened off. Aubergines need a sunny, sheltered position and fertile, well-drained soil. For best results, grow in a greenhouse or polytunnel.

Growing Tips
