Growing Information

Sow Swamp Milkweed seeds under cover in March to April, or sow directly outdoors in May once the soil has warmed.

Sow seeds at a depth of around 0.5 cm and keep the soil slightly moist during germination. Plant seedlings outdoors in May, once the risk of frost has passed.

Choose a sunny position or light partial shade with fertile, well-drained and moderately moist soil. Space plants around 50 x 50 cm apart to allow good air circulation and strong growth.

Water during dry periods and remove faded flowers to help keep plants tidy and encourage a longer flowering display.
