Sowing Instructions

• When to Sow.
• Sow directly outdoors from April to May once the risk of hard frost has passed and the soil has begun to warm.
• Choose a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep, spacing plants approximately 40–50 cm apart. Water after sowing and keep the soil lightly moist until seedlings are established.

Growing Conditions and Care

• Position: Full Sun
• Water regularly during prolonged dry periods, particularly while plants are establishing. Feed occasionally with a balanced fertiliser to encourage vigorous growth and abundant flowers. Due to their impressive height, plants may benefit from staking in exposed locations. Deadhead spent blooms to extend the flowering season, or leave seed heads in place to provide food for garden birds.
