Growing Information
When to Sow
Sow indoors from March to April, or sow outdoors in pots or containers from May to July once temperatures are consistently warm.
How to Sow
Sow seeds thinly in a seed tray or directly into a flowerpot, covering them lightly with compost. Keep the soil warm and evenly moist during germination. If sowing in pots, thin seedlings slightly as they grow to allow healthy development. Seedlings started in trays can be transplanted after approximately 4 weeks.
Growing Tips
Place plants in a warm, sunny position for the best flavour and growth. Water regularly without waterlogging the soil. Harvest leaves frequently to encourage bushy growth and pinch out flower buds to keep plants producing fresh leaves for longer.
